Rachel was born in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada. Her first involvement in the wine industry was while working as an accountant with Niagara based wineries. After a couple years in Australia (working with wineries and wine consultancies), Rachel moved with her family to the Okanagan in 2004. There, she took on the job as winery accountant for an Okanagan based winery for 4 years. Since then she has worked internationally in accounting, wine retail, marketing and administration. She is also an accomplished taster and a qualified wine professional, having passed the highly regarded WSET level 3 Advanced wine program. Rachel has spent the last 6 years travelling to international wine regions as a wine travel photographer, administration and marketing manager. She is very active on wine social media and has become somewhat of an expert in digitally communicating with the wine world at large. Rachel and her husband Marcus have recently started their own Okanagan wine company called Daydreamer Wines.
